Team Canmore – Foothills Junior Interclub Team
The Foothills Junior Interclub is a seasonal series of 18-hole events at clubs located within the Calgary area. The full roster of participating courses will be released by late March/early April. These are low-pressure events with an emphasis on participation, fun and exposure to new and different golf courses. The FHJI tour features a north and south division – we are in the north division, which includes: Canmore, Banff, Lynx Ridge, The Winston, Mickelson National, Bearspaw and Valley Ridge. In August, the north and south divisions come together for the Tour Championship for a total of 8 possible events throughout the summer.
Each club can take as many as 4 players to each event. At times, interest in events can exceed available spaces. These will be dealt with on a per-case basis with equitable distribution of opportunities in mind. Prerequisites: Junior Membership; establishment of a Golf Canada handicap; working understanding of golf rules; and ability to maintain appropriate pace of play. No cost to participate in the events themselves, and a meal and prizes are included with each round.
If interested in participating, please email bill@nonstopgolf.ca and include your contact information (phone + email) to be added to the FHJI mailing list. You will be updated regularly as all the participating clubs release their final schedules.
